Richard Nacht is the founder and CEO of Respond Media (prevoiusly Blogging Systems Group). Richard has twenty-five years in the marketing, finance and technology development industries. Richard has focused his talents on creating online strategies aimed at producing technologies that benefit corporations, organizations, consumers and other communities of interest. Richard is also the CEO of Career Connection Network, a SaaS which enables corporate customers to build relationships with and recruit top tier talent. Specifically, CCN partners with major Fortune 1000 brands to build focused, niche career online communities where like minded professionals can communicate, collaborate, share information, learn how to advance their careers and enjoy a sense of community. CCN’s corporate sponsors can then access and mine these communities for their staffing and recruiting needs. CCN pilot clients include Fortune 500 companies Wachovia, Toyota, Microsoft and CitiMortgage.
Richard is the founder of Nacht Social Media Consulting, which provides solutions to the challenge of an internet that is fragmenting the delivery of media, marketing and communication. Nacht SMC provides clients with a way to extend their online presence by enhancing the methods by which they can: a) generate a greater sense of community among visitors, users, consumers and members, b) increase revenue with advertising and sponsorships, and c) effectively execute sales and marketing activities for single and cross-platform sites.
Among his significant successes, Richard has been honored as a New Jersey Governor’s Cup for Entrepreneurial Excellence finalist and is a member of the Inc. 500 list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. He is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court.
Richard is the author of Recruiting with Social Media, forthcoming from John Wiley & Sons, winter 2008 and the co-author, with Paul Chaney, of Realty Blogging: Build your Brand and Outsmart Your Competition.
Richard is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Programs, Department of Leadership and Human Capital Management, New York University, SCPS, teaching Recruiting with Social Media in the Winter 2008-2009 semester.
He is a Senior Research Fellow and Chairman of the Education Committee of the Society for New Communications Research. Richard is the Technology Chair and on the Board of Directors of the MENG (Marketing Executive Networking Group).
Richard holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the New York Law School, an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the New York University Stern School of Business and is a current doctoral candidate at the International School for Management in Paris, France.
Richard has been married for more than 20 years and is the father of six children and guardian to two nieces.
